WestArtGlass Studio(tm)
I am the owner and designer of WestArtGlass Studio(tm), and have worked since 1969, as a commercial, award winning MIXED MEDIA ARTIST. i specialize in HALLOWEEN, EQUINE, and WILDLIFE art, in a number of different categories, including FINE OILS, ACRYLICS, WATERCOLORS, STAINED GLASS, BEADED ARTWORK, PAINTING ON VARIOUS MATERIALS including WOOD, STONE, ROCK, and GLASS. i also create artwork in SCULPTURE, POLYMER CLAY, FABRICS and other media.
I utilize the different media in a wide variety of creations, including stained glass panels, windows, doors, on wood, stones, rocks, etc, and quite often mix and make use of metallics, fibers, semi-precious stones, gemstones, and/or other types of embellishments. My creations include stained glass creations, fused, and/or painted DICHROIC GLASS JEWELRY, painted artwork,fiber, paper crafts, collages, ACEOS, vintage rubber stampings, and I have artwork, paintings in every US state, numerous foreign countries, and in private collections throughout the world.
As family genealogy includes Cherokee hereitage, many of my creations feature Native American type artwork, although I am not a card carrying member of the Cherokee tribe.
I am, and have always been, a horsewoman, having owned, raised, trained, ridden, shown and loved horses all of my life.....my all time favorite series of ORIGINAL, ONE OF A KIND ARTWORK on FUSED, DICHROIC, PAINTED PENDANTS features horses and ponies of all breeds.
I also love birds and fLowers, and have been a member of the Audub on Society, American Iris Society, and am a founding memb er of the Arkansas Iris Society. Irises from our farm grace the riverfront parks of both North Little Rock, AR and of Memphis, TN.
For many years I have worked with the Chamber of Commerce at Stuttgart, AR during the annual World's Championship Duck Calling Contest and Wings Over the Prairie Art Festival and have been a supporter of Ducks Unlimited(tm). My artwork can be found in the homes, lodges, hunting clubs of Duck's Unlimited Members throughout the entire US, Canada and Mexico.
Love of artwork runs very deep in my family, with all members of my parent's family having either been artists, or having worked to create items of beauty. Our daughter is the Art Teacher for her School District, our Grandson creates pyrography artwork, and our GrandDaughter will begin college this Fall to fulfill her education as an Art Teacher. My husband, who has stood behind my efforts ever step of the way, serves as my advisor, and supports my endeavours in full measure....without him I would never have been able to accomplish my visions. Art, to both me, and to my family, is a LIFE FORCE.

SPECIAL AWARDS/SPECIAL COMMISSIONS
1989-1999 Arkansas Industrial Development Commission used my OOAK artwork as special complimentary gifts for foreign dignitaries visiting the State of Arkansas.
2003 Commission to paint equine portraits of the individual horses owned by each of the twenty International Judges of the World Olympic Championship Dressage Horse Event held at River Bend Ranch, Utah,USA .
2005 Commission to create awards for the International Jewish Federation of Upper New York State's annual Horse Show.....This show featured approximately 800 plus entries.
